Technology plays a number of different roles and has many different uses in people's lives. It can be extremely frustrating when our tech doesn’t work correctly regardless of how simple or complex a user you are or the issue is. Knowing what you want it to do, having seen it do before and know it is capable of doing yet can’t get it to function can be completely overwhelming. Seeing how relieved our parents are when we walk them through their most recent technology crisis is a big motivator for us to make our expertise available to anyone who wants it. The intention of this service is to be able to offer assistance beyond what is available in our store. This will be a more tailored service to someone’s specific needs and/ or wants or addressing issues they are having. Our goal is to get your technology working correctly, smoothly, quickly and seamlessly integrated between all your devices. We are happy to educate, instruct or assist in troubleshooting issues and setting up processes and best practices with overall functionality alongside you as well.

The How…
To take advantage of what we are offering, a minimum of 1 hour must be booked. The first hour is $100 plus a $25 travel fee within a 15 min drive of downtown Burlington (further distances can be accommodated for an additional travel fee). After the first hour, time is broken into 15 minute intervals based on $100/hour and can stay as long as you like. Going over 3 hrs in one session is not recommended. This type of work or instruction can be tedious, focused work and the ability to stay engaged and interested and retain what is happening becomes reduced the longer it goes on, for both of us.
To schedule a time with one of our experts, please call or email the shop. Be prepared to share the specifics of what you are needing or wanting or hoping to accomplish with us as well as your location. We can determine if this is the best service for your current needs or if a different approach is necessary. It has been helpful for us as well as the customer to prepare a list ahead of time of any and all questions you want answered as well as the different tasks you want accomplished so we can make the best use out of the time you have scheduled. It also allows us to be as prepared as possible for you when we show up. Below you will find a list of things that would be ideal for you to have prepared and ready when we arrive. List of things to have prepared when we arrive:
- Have a written out list of your questions, issues, what you want resolved so we can use time the most efficiently as possible
- Make sure to have passwords, wifi password/network, user names, email addresses, recovery or 2nd security device, program licenses if possible
- Have everything set up where you want it ahead of time if possible
- Is there anything that you don’t have but need/ want for your setup. Source ahead of time or possibly we can bring cables, accessories, webcams
- Any transfering/backing up of data or clean up that can be done ahead of time is helpful; don’t want to spend time waiting for things to transfer as much as possible
- Be familiar with program/application names and versions that you use to best of your ability
- Making sure update have been run and aren’t waiting in the que to be installed
- Restart the device before we arrive if it hasn’t been in a while
